Yo Dawgs, Peep my New Logo

Today is a HUGE day for the TCC brand. I'm chuffed beyond belief to introduce the world to a spankin' new logo for Tom's Classy Collectibles!

Here's a little background about how we got to this point, and why it is so meaningful to me.

Back in the mid-1980s, when most people my age had paper routes to earn a little extra scratch, I decided to follow a much tougher, but potentially far more lucrative path and become a Barry Gibb impersonator. But not just any Barry Gibb impersonator. No, I wanted to become the youngest Gibb in Southern New Jersey, a feat I accomplished at the young age of 11.

In retrospect, what made that particularly interesting is I couldn't - and still can't - sing a lick and didn't know any BeeGees songs. You see, I succeeded because I put in the work. I logged thousands of miles walking around the Garden State making myself a fixture in virtually every watering hole, gathering spot and rest area between exits 8A and 16W. One stroke of genius I had was to hit up all the bowling alleys and when the shoe guy wasn't looking, I'd run to the lane computer, type in "Barry Gibb" and roll a few frames. Needless to say, people would see this, tell their friends they saw ol' Barry Gibb at the alley, and over time I'd draw these mammoth crowds all fighting to see ME tie up a pair of maroon/blues and put some English on a 6 pounder. Soon I was making paid appearances at birthday parties, bar mitvahs, retirement parties... you name it.

And while I've hung up the Gibb specs and suede-fringed jacket, one thing I've never put out to pasture is my dogged commitment to realizing my dreams. This new logo embodies that work ethic.

Not to brag, but this summer I completed a project commissioned by Warner Bros to take their full collection of dolls from the Child's Play franchise and make them appeal to a population that doesn't identify as cisgender. That meant softening the murderous and repulsively toxic masculine vibe that pulsated from the stuffed cast of Child's Play 1; Child's Play 2; Child's Play 3; Bride of Chucky; Seed of Chucky; Curse of Chucky; and Cult of Chucky. (The 2019 remake, Child's Play, was deemed sufficiently sensitive so my services weren't required.)

With the capital I raised from that project, I hired a world-famous design firm to create the new TCC logo. It perfectly captures everything special about my brand, down to the detailed dolls. I think it turned out rather handsome, don't you?
